PETER JACKSON
During his childhood, he made vampire films. In 1988, he made Bad Taste, a first, really gore film he shot at the weekends. In 1989, he made an erotic and trash version of The Muppet Show with The Feebles. In 1993, it is thanks to Braindead (1992), awarded by the Grand Prix of Avoriaz Festival, that he has made his name as a specialist in the gore cinema. But Heavenly Creatures (1994), a drama based on a news item wrong-footed everyone (Silver Lion at the Venice Festival). In 1996, he went back to fantasy cinema with The frighteners and allowed himself an original break with Forgotten Silver, a false documentary on an imaginary, New-Zealander filmmaker. In 2001, Peter Jackson started a mad project: the adaptation of Tolkien’s trilogy, Lord of the rings.

Third film of Lord of the rings' filmmaker, Braindead is considered as one of the most horrible film in the world but also as one that is really funny.
It is briskly led, there is no slack period, violence is as exaggerated as possible and black humour is hilarious from the beginning to the end. We bellow with laughter when watching the cult scenes
