NICK PARK
ET PETER LORD
Nick Park, born in 1958 in Preston. After the school of Communication Arts in Sheffield, he studied animation at the National Film and Television School in Beaconfield, from 1980 to 1983. He started A grand day out (beginning of Wallace and Gromit) he finished in 1985 at Aardman Animation Studio where he met the success that would never leave him.
Peter Lord, born in 1953 in Bristol. While in highschool, he made a animated film with his friend David Sproxton in 1970. They created together Aardman Animation Studio in 1976 and devoted themselves to the animation of modelling clay figurines. Peter Lord, who is most of all a producer, had by the way made numerous commercials and also six short films.

England, 1950, in Yorkshire, the peaceful life of the Tweedy farm henhouse seems to appeal to its inhabitants. There is plenty of food and the place is warm. But Ginger the hen does not agree with her colleagues: she dreams of bigger places and of liberty. She tries to escape every day from the farmyard. Courageous Ginger has to be patient to make her feathered friends understand that the fence is not around the farm but in their heads.
Her hopes are satisfied when Rocky, ‘a free and solitary rooster’ arrived in the farmyard. Ginger thinks it is the rescuer of all the hens. If only it can teach them how to fly, they would be able to escape. Because they have no choice: Mr Tweedy, the farm owner, has decided to cook them, one day or the other.
