CAGLA ZENCIRCI
Born in 1976 in Ankara, Cagla Zencirci, who works at the French Embassy, is at the same time studying cinema and video. Because of a lack of money, she will make her first short film in Paris in 2002, which is a video clip taking place in the metro. |

It is a road movie on a famous highway. It is a clearance of received ideas on the four countries that are crossed: Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and India.
“The title is like a dream of faraway places… This journey will lead us to some preciosity. But the film is about something else and comes to the conclusion that the real richness of a country is somewhere else (in its difference for instance). The filmmakers are also ironically reminding us of our occidental clichés on other countries and, as Rabelais, they want to show us that we are all identical.” (Élise D.)
