OPENING NIGHT
Friday 7th at 9pm (admission free)

The opening night, orchestrated by Pierre Richards, will transport us from virtuality to reality and the young organizers will have great screen presence, literally as well as figuratively.

Presentation of the Festival and its guests: the directors of the films in competition, the young winners of the scriptwriting competition, the juries, the young Europeans etc.

Prize giving to the winners of the scriptwriting competition.

Screenings of the two short films made in Gonfreville lOrcher:

AB/2, (13)
film directed by the young festival organizers, with the help of plastic artist and video maker David Loureiro.

To our Western Saharan Friends (10)
film directed by young people from Gonfreville lOrcher, with the help of director Jean-Marie Chtelier.
Deeply marked by their stay in JRefia, a group of youngsters from Gonfreville lOrcher decided to start up filmed correspondence with their newly made Western Saharan friends. Wishing initially to present their country and their way of life, which is so different from the daily lives of the inhabitants of the camps in the Algerian desert, these young letter writers have filled this first letter with humour, lightness and absurdity, appropriately seizing the festivals theme.
