We are some 27 young people aged 12-23 from Gonfreville l'Orcher and the Le Havre area (Normandy region-France). We organise the 7th edition of the du grain dmoudre Film Festival with the help of professionals. Since May 2000, this annual adventure enables us to pass on their passion for cinema to other children, young people and adults.


The patron of our event is animated film director, Michel Ocelot (of Kirikou and the Sorceress fame).
From 2nd to 10th November 2006, children, young people and adults will be able to witness a great many films, workshops and presentations. They will also be able to take part in meetings and exchanges and socialise with professionals and young people from all over Europe, united by film and images.

We choose a theme every year. This year the chosen theme is "Travel".

What is the best way to travel? Everyone has his or her own method and style. Some take the train, others take the plane, and others travel via their dreams.
Us young shipmates here at Du Grain Dmoudre travel by film. So lets cast off, and embark upon a week of discovery, meetings and escapism on board the ship Du Grain Dmoudre VII. And to guide us on this great adventure, we have the privilege of welcoming Michel Ocelot, our Captain for this new edition.
