CARTES BLANCHES TO THE YOUNG EUROPEANS
on the theme: Travel, Source of Cultural Discovery
from Tuesday 7th to Thursday 9th

27 young people from Scotland, France Ireland, Poland, Serbia and Sweden will work together for a week on the theme of travel, in the framework of the European Commission Youth Programme.

Each group made a short film in its home country, on the way it sees travel. These films are presented in the Festival foyer throughout the festival. During the Festival, the young people will make a film together, a sort of travel log on their experience. This film will be shown on the Closing Night.

On Tuesday 7th, Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th, they will have carte blanche to present images and sounds from their country's journey.

The six partner organisations are:
Education from Macrobert in the University of Stirling in Scotland
The Cork Film Festival in Ireland
du grain dmoudre film festival
"Culture Collective" from the University of Gdansk in Poland

REPORT, PHOTOS, EXHIBITIONS (admission free)
Festival Report
Director Sbastien Thvenet, will be present during the festival, travelling between the different events and workshops open to the public. He will propose another point of view to a few visitors by inviting them to take part in the directing of a daily report, broadcast the following afternoons in the foyer of the Espace culturel, so we can watch - or watch again - highlights of this Festival 2006.

Travel and photography, with the BBFlirt Studio
Photography accompanies travel, wanderings and meetings. The Festival is at the crossroads of different cultures, and already carries with it the poetry of otherness and elsewhere. The BBFlirt studio, with the help of those young volunteers who wish to do so, will create a sensitive report on the entire festival and a studio will be set up for the occasion. Each day of the week, a captioned photo will be selected and hung up. A final frieze will be exhibited in the foyer of the Espace culturel.

The entire Festival decoration, developed around the theme of the travel, was created by plastic artist Franois Troquet.

Film posters - all over the Festival venues (Espace culturel de la Pointe de Caux, the Multimedia Library, CLEC, Maison des associations etc)
